All too often we hear these terms “Hybrid” with “Range extender“(i3 BMW), or “Electric car with Engine”. It does get one peeved that much of it is marketing talk to sound green, greener and sell more.
In Reality, quite a bit of it is B*ll*x, forgive my french, as recently i have come across quite a few ads featuring “eco” and “green” models, which, frankly dont do either.
It is uttely frustrating looking at the MPG figures trying to figure who is putting a mere finger in the air and deciding on the number for the marketing to go in print it, because, lets face it, – you will never see that MPG if you get to buy and drive that brand new spanking mobile.
Regardless, with terms such as hybrid, electric, range extender, its time to put it all in reality check and compare one vs another and cut the Best from The Rest
Bear in mind everyone, Technology IS already here, whether you are sold what you need – not what you think you want (marketing) is another story.
